About San Diego Crime Stoppers

Our Mission

The mission of San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc. is to partner with local law enforcement agencies, the media, and the public to help solve felony crimes anonymously.

Crime Stoppers combats the three major problems law enforcement faces in gathering information; fear of reprisal, apathy, and a reluctance to get involved.

Our History

San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc. provides three ways that the public can submit tips anonymously to report on felony crimes; they can submit a tip via our website. Crime Stoppers combats the three major problems law enforcement faces in gathering information; fear of reprisal, apathy, and a reluctance to get involved.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc. overcomes these challenges by providing citizens a safe way to anonymously report crime and rewards citizens for tips leading to a felony arrest.

In 1999, San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc. partnered with the San Diego Unified School District to establish a Campus Crime Stoppers program in all of their middle and high schools. Campus Crime Stoppers empowers students to do the right thing and create a safe environment for learning. Then in 2010, the program was rebranded and restructured into Students Speaking Out. To date, the program has been introduced in over 150 schools throughout San Diego County.

Over the past 30 years, San Diego County Crime Stoppers has evolved from a good idea to a strong and vital presence in San Diego. Crime Stoppers remains a nonprofit, charitable organization supported by responsible individuals and businesses that want to make San Diego safer. You too can become a member of San Diego County Crime Stoppers Inc., by going to our Take Action page and pledging a donation. Each donation is tax deductible.
