San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Criminal Intelligence Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating multiple suspects for a hate crime and vandalism that occurred in the Scripps Ranch Neighborhood in the City of San Diego.

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 3:07 a.m., three unknown suspects arrived on foot at a residence in the Scripps Ranch Neighborhood. The suspects spray-painted anti-LGBTQ slurs on the victim’s fence, which is painted in the colors of the LGBTQ flag. A yard sign which read “Hate Has No Home Here”, was taken from in front of the fence and moved down the street. The sign was later recovered by a neighbor.

Surveillance cameras on the property captured footage of the suspects before the camera was removed and stolen by one of the suspects. The suspects were last seen fleeing northbound on Semillon Blvd. The victim has been the target of numerous previous cases targeting her fence.

Suspects’ Description:
The three suspects were all wearing dark clothing and appeared to be males in their late teens or early twenties. Suspect # 2 wore distinct Nike shoes, possibly Nike Free
Run shoes and was wearing glasses.

Crime Stoppers in partnership with the San Diego GLBTQ+ Historic Task Force and the Hate Crime Fund is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
