Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a pedestrian with serious injuries in the Balboa Park area of San Diego.  

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at about 8:16 p.m., a 54-year-old male was walking southbound in the 1300 block of Pershing Drive in a bicycle lane.  A southbound vehicle drifted into the bicycle lane and struck the male.  The male was hospitalized with serious injuries.  

The vehicle that struck the male fled the scene southbound on Pershing Drive. 

Vehicle Description:   

Based on debris left at the scene, the suspect’s vehicle is possibly a black colored, older model (possibly 2007-2012) Toyota Camry.  The vehicle will be missing its passenger side mirror and may have additional passenger side damage.
