UP TO $1000 REWARD
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Southeastern Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for beating a 52-year-old male inside a gas station in the Lincoln Park area of San Diego.
On March 13, 2023, at 11:23 p.m., an adult male (victim) walked into the United Gas Station located at 235 S. 47th Street, in San Diego. The victim noticed a male lying on the floor and appeared to be unconscious. There was another male (witness) who was trying to wake the suspect up as he was on the floor. The victim was assisting the witness and asked if he should call for paramedics.
For an unknown reason, the suspect stood up and grabbed the victim. The suspect punched the victim in the head several times with a closed fist. The suspect then used several knee strikes to the victim’s upper torso. The victim was unable to defend himself and fell to the ground. While the victim was on the floor, the suspect punched and kicked the victim in the head. The suspect then walked out of the store with the witness. Investigators believe the witness and suspect know each other.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. The victim suffered a fractured orbital, facial fractures, broken left forearm and a concussion.
