Suspect Wanted for Burglary of Vietnamese Temples

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Mid-City Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for entering and casing multiple Vietnamese temples in the City Heights and Southeastern San Diego area.
On September 14, 2023, between 7:30 a.m., and 4:30 p.m., an unknown male suspect entered five different Vietnamese temples in the City Heights and Southeastern San Diego area. During one of the incidents, the suspect broke into and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a lockbox. During the other incidents, the suspect appeared to be casing the interior of the temples but was escorted out by staff.
Suspects’ Description:
The suspect is described as a Black male, 40 to 45-years-old, 6 ft. tall, weighs approximately 240 lbs., wearing a black t-shirt, tan shorts, and black sandals. The suspect's vehicle is described as a newer model Volkswagen SUV.
