Fashion Valley Robbery

Up to a $1,000 Reward

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate the suspects responsible for a robbery at the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego. 

On August 11, 2018, at 5:24 p.m., two unknown male suspects robbed a 27-year-old male of his iPhone as he walked near the Forever 21 store. One of the suspects (S-1) approached the victim and asked to use his phone. S-1 then grabbed the phone and ran away with another suspect (S-2). The victim chased both suspects into a nearby parking lot. S-2 displayed a firearm in his waistband and told the victim that “he did not want any of this.” The victim fearing he would be shot, stopped chasing both suspects and they were last seen running towards Friars Road. 

San Diego Police Officers responded to the area but were unable to find either suspect. Officers did recover an airsoft pistol, which was believed to have been used by S-2.

Suspects’ Description: Suspect # 1 (S-1) is described as Hispanic male, approximately 16-years-old, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, thin build, wearing a navy colored short-sleeved shirt and black shorts. 

Suspect # 2 (S-2) is described as a Hispanic male, mid to late teens, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, thin build, hair placed in a bun, wearing a red short-sleeved t-shirt with tan pants.

Suspects Wanted for Residential Burglary

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Northern Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating unknown suspects who burglarized a residence in the Mount Soledad area of San Diego. 

On June 16, 2018, unknown suspects forced entry into a residence in the Mount Soledad area by using a tool to pry open the front door. The suspects stole numerous pieces of jewelry with a total value of over $250,000. Most of the jewelry pieces were large in size and very distinctive. Surveillance video captured the suspects’ vehicle arriving at the residence and a suspect wearing dark clothing exiting the front passenger’s seat. Investigators determined the suspects’ vehicle is a newer model white Nissan Rogue.

Who Murdered John Roth?

$1,000 reward

On August 14th at 6:30 a.m., 77-year-old John Roth was found to be murdered inside of his home at 530 N. Tremont St. in Oceanside. Roth was last seen alive on August 13th at 1:00 p.m. by his wife. Property, to include jewelry, a brown wooden jewelry box, a black Asus computer and an LG cell phone were taken during the crime.

Kendal Kabande is wanted by the San Diego Fugitive Task Force for an outstanding felony warrant (no bail) for his arrest.  The warrant is for assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft, and felony evading.  Kabande has previous convictions for assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft, and felony evading.  Kabande is not known to frequent any particular area and may be anywhere in San Diego County

Commercial Robbery & Burglary Series

Up to $1000 Reward

San Diego County Crime Stoppers, along with investigators from the Carlsbad and Escondido Police Departments, are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating several unknown suspects who have committed a series of grab and runs at Apple stores. 

Since January 2018, the Carlsbad and Escondido Apple stores have been targeted in a series of grab and runs. During these incidents, a group of suspects typically enter the store wearing hooded sweatshirts or jackets, with the hood portion tied closely to their heads, which conceals most of their faces. The suspects grab multiple Apple devices on the display tables and exit the store where a getaway car is usually waiting for them. 

In several of the incidents, citizens have attempted to stop the suspects and have been injured by the suspects as they flee the store. Investigators believe this series is related to similar cases throughout California. To date, the losses throughout the state have exceeded approximately $750,000. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspects are described as Black males, in the early 20’s, and wear hooded sweatshirts or jackets with the hood portion tied closely to their heads. There may also be an unknown female suspect involved in this series.

Town & Country Hotel Burglary

Up to $1000 Reward

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate the suspect(s) responsible for burglarizing a hotel room in the Mission Valley area of San Diego. 

On August 8, 2018, between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a guest’s room at the Town and Country Hotel located at 500 Hotel Circle North, in San Diego. The room was unoccupied at the time of the burglary. The suspect(s) stole several items including a rare custom made cello. The cello is made by Mario Miralles and has a label on it that reads: “Mario Miralles 2010 Alta Dena California”. The cello is valued at $100,000.

Suspect Wanted for Identity Theft & Credit Card Fraud

San Diego County Crime Stoppers, along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit, are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown suspect who fraudulently opened and attempted to open several credit card accounts using someone else’s personal information. 

Starting on July 12, 2018, an unknown female suspect opened several fraudulent credit card accounts at different stores in the College Grove area of San Diego and in Lemon Grove using another person’s identity. The same suspect attempted to open several other credit card accounts using the same false identity but was unsuccessful. The suspect was using personal information of a real person living in San Diego. The victim contacted the San Diego Police Department once they learned credit card accounts were being opened. The victim does not know how the suspect gained access to their personal information. 

Investigators with the San Diego Police Department’s Financial Crimes Unit are still determining how the suspect was able to open the fraudulent accounts. The suspect did fraudulently charge over $10,000 before the accounts were closed. Investigators were able to get surveillance photos of the suspect. 

Suspect’s Description: The suspect is described as a Black female, approximately 25 to 35-years old, medium build, with blonde hair.

Sketch of Unknown Suspect Wanted for Armed Robbery in San Marcos

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego County

Sheriff’s Department’s San Marcos Station are asking for the public’s assistance in

identifying and locating an unknown suspect who robbed an adult male while he was

sitting in his vehicle.

On June 12, 2018, at about 7:40 p.m., the male victim parked his car in the Buffalo

Wild Wings parking lot, located at 1010 W. San Marcos Blvd in San Marcos. An

unknown male suspect, driving a light colored Nissan Versa, abruptly parked his car

behind the victim's car. The suspect then exited his car, approached the victim's car,

and opened the driver’s door. The suspect placed a 10-12 inch "Keyhole Saw" blade,

also known as a drywall saw, to the victim's neck and demanded his iPhone. The

suspect threatened to cut the victim up and forcefully removed the iPhone from the

victim's hand, before fleeing the area.

The victim provided a composite sketch of the suspect.

Suspect Description: The suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male between

the ages of 21-25, standing approximately 5'9-6'0 tall, with a thin build. He weighed

between 160-170lbs, had short wavy hair, dark eyes, and was clean shaven. He had

severe acne on his face. He was last seen wearing a black snap back hat, a . length

shirt and black cargo shorts.

Suspect Wanted for Violent Robbery

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers, along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Southeastern Division, are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating an unknown suspect who violently assaulted a store clerk and stole several items from a Shell Gas Station located in the Ridgeview/ Webster area of San Diego. 

On June 26, 2018, at about 9:30 p.m., an unknown male suspect walked into the Shell Gas Station located at 4405 Home Avenue, in San Diego. The suspect walked through the store and placed several food items inside a black bag. A clerk told the suspect that she saw him placing items inside of the bag he had with him. The clerk told the suspect that he needed to pay for all of the items. 

The suspect denied stealing anything. Another clerk approached the suspect and asked the suspect if he had something concealed in his bag. The suspect then punched the clerk once on the left side of his face causing the clerk to fall to the ground. The suspect then left the store and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital and remained there for three days. The victim suffered a broken jaw and lost a tooth as a result of being punched. 

Suspects’ Description: 

Black male, 35 to 40-years-old, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, weighs 185 to 195 lbs., beard, wearing a zip-up style hooded jacket, gray striped shirt, gray sweatpants, white baseball style cap, and white tennis shoes. The suspect has a large tattoo (possible letters) on his upper chest.

Unknown Suspect Wanted for Home Invasion Robbery and Assault in Oceanside

$1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers, along with investigators from the Oceanside Police Department’s Crimes of Violence Unit, are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery and assault. 

On May 9, 2018, at about 5:30 p.m., Oceanside Police Officers responded to a report of a battery in the 500 block of Monterey Drive in Oceanside. Officers found the victim, a 64-year-old female, seriously battered and bloody.  She reported that an unknown male attacked her in her bedroom. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently recovering in the hospital.  Through the investigation, the male pictured below was identified as the suspect in this case. 

Suspect Description: The suspect is described as a Black male, about 30 to 35-years-old, standing 5’9” tall, and weighing about 160 lbs. He has a shaved head, goatee, mustache, and possibly pierced ears. He was last seen riding a red bike.

Suspect Wanted for Armed Robbery & Child Endangerment

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered  

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police  Department’s Central Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect who robbed a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in the Grant Hill area. 

On April 27, 2018, at about 3:30 p.m., a 13-year-old female victim was standing near the intersection of 26th Street and K Street, waiting for her mother to pick her up from school. As the victim was waiting, a suspect driving a white Hyundai Elantra parked his vehicle along 26th Street just north of the intersection where the victim was standing.

The suspect got out of his vehicle and approached the victim. The suspect pointed a knife at the victim’s stomach and forcefully pulled a gold necklace/pendant off of her neck. The suspect told the victim not to scream and that he would come back and hurt her if she called the police. The suspect then left the area and was last seen driving eastbound on K Street then northbound on 28th Street. The victim sustained a minor abrasion to her neck.     

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a Black male adult 5’8” to 6’0” tall, stocky build, wearing a plain black colored hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, a black colored cloth covering the lower portion of his face and dark colored pants.

The suspect’s vehicle is a white, 2014 Hyundai Elantra with black colored paper plates that have an unknown silver colored design in the center of the plates. The vehicle also has temporary registration displayed on the passenger’s side of the front windshield.

Suspect Wanted for Robbery and Carjacking

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered  

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating an unknown suspect wanted for a robbery and carjacking that occurred in the San Ysidro area of San Diego.

On March 29, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., an 82-year-old female victim arrived at her residence located in the 200 block of West Park Avenue, in San Diego. The victim went inside her residence and found a male suspect burglarizing it. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and threatened her with a knife. The suspect stole various items from the victim. The suspect also demanded the victim’s car keys and left the residence in the victim’s silver Toyota Camry, which was later recovered a few blocks away. The victim was transported to a local hospital and sustained multiple bruises and abrasions to her hands and head.  

The investigation revealed the suspect had forced open a bedroom window and was ransacking the residence when the victim came home and interrupted the burglary.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-years-old, 5’7” tall, thin to normal build, thin mustache, wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a white design on the front of it and black pants.

On April 16, 2018, at 5:35 a.m., an adult male suspect walked into the Denny’s restaurant located at 4365 University Avenue, in San Diego. The suspect approached an employee and asked for change. The employee walked to the register and opened it so they could make change. The suspect pulled a black semi auto handgun from underneath his jacket and demanded cash. The employee complied and the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect left the restaurant and headed in an unknown direction. No vehicle was seen leaving the scene.

The suspect is described as a White male, late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’8” to 5’10” tall, short hair, clean shaven, wearing a dark colored jacket with a black long sleeve shirt underneath, jeans, gray baseball hat with dark colored bill, and white and gray shoes.

On April 16, 2018, at approximately 9:25 p.m., an unknown adult male suspect walked into Randy’s Mini Market, located at 5739 El Cajon Boulevard, in San Diego. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and pointed a black semi auto handgun at him. The suspect demanded money from the cash register and the clerk complied. The suspect placed an undisclosed amount of cash into the pocket of his hooded jacket and was last seen walking eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard.   

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a Black male, 40 to 50-years-old, approximately 6’0” tall, 280 to 300 plus lbs., mustache, short hair, wearing a black zip-up style hooded jacket, a gray sports jersey with the Oakland Raiders logo on the front, black jeans, black tennis shoes, black gloves with reflective stripes on top, and black sunglasses.

Investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating an unknown suspect wanted for a commercial armed robbery of a Target store located in the Mission Valley area of San Diego.

On March 25, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a loss prevention officer (LPO) noticed a male inside the Target store located at 1288 Camino Del Rio North, in San Diego. The LPO recognized the male from previous encounters. As the LPO was monitoring the male, he saw the male grab three memory cards and attempt to remove them from their security cases. The male then went to the bedding area of the store and used a towel to conceal the cases. The male then removed one of the memory cards and placed it inside his pant pocket.   

The LPO confronted the male. The male placed the towel on the ground and walked towards the exit.  The LPO followed the male. As the male was near the exit door, he pulled out a folding razor knife from his waistband and told the LPO to stand back. The male left the store and was last seen getting into an early 2000’s gray Cadillac CTS. 

Suspect’s Description: 

The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 28-years-old, 6”0” tall, 170 lbs., wearing a tan colored long sleeve dress shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.

WANTED: Suspect Responsible for Credit Card and Identity Theft

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Poway Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to locate an unknown suspect wanted in connection with using a stolen credit card and identity theft. 

On January 14, 2018, at about 11:30 a.m., an unknown female suspect stole a wallet from a woman who was shopping at the Vons, located at 13438 Poway Road in Poway. Within an hour, the suspect used four of the victim’s credit/debit cards to purchase several Visa gift cards and miscellaneous items in excess of $6,300 at the Target store, located in Poway, and two Rite Aid stores located in San Diego.   

The suspect is described as a Black female, between 20 to 30-years-old, with a thin build and dark hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a black/white jacket with the word "Pink" on the front, blue denim jeans, and black shoes.

Suspect Wanted for Commercial Armed Robberies

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered  

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating an unknown suspect wanted for two separate commercial armed robberies in San Diego.   

On February 8, 2018, at about 5:35 a.m., an unknown male suspect robbed the Adult Depot located at 4055 Pacific Highway, in San Diego.   

On February 9, 2018, at about 4:25 a.m., the same suspect robbed the 7-Eleven located at 4919 University Avenue, in San Diego. 

In both cases the suspect walked into the businesses armed with a shotgun, and demanded money from the registers.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 30-years-old, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, weighs 230 to 250 lbs., with dark colored hair and eyes.  The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap, dark colored pants, and white tennis shoes during both of the robberies.  During one of the robberies, the suspect was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with “GIJOE” printed on the front. 

Suspect’s Vehicle:

In both cases, the suspect fled the area in a dark colored, 4-door sedan (possibly a 2000-2006 Nissan Sentra) with black wheels and a broken out driver’s side window.

Suspect Wanted for Commercial Armed Robbery

Investigators from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for a commercial armed robbery of a donut shop in San Marc0s.

On February 1, 2018 at approximately 1:30 a.m., a suspect walked into the Yum Yum Donuts located at 1240 East Mission Road in San Marcos. The suspect pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the employee and demanded money from the cash register.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 25-30 years old, standing 5'8" tall and weighing 180 pounds with a thin build and medium brown complexion. His ears are pierced and he had a key chain around his neck. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray beanie, dark jacket, black shirt, dark blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Suspects Wanted for Commercial Armed Robbery

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered  

Investigators from the San Diego Police Department's Robbery Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects wanted for a commercial armed robbery of a Savers 99 Cents Store located in the Mid-City area of San Diego.   

On December 13, 2017, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Irene Lee and Ariel Burrus walked into the Savers 99 Cents Store located at 4129 University Avenue, in San Diego. Lee shoplifted several items while Burrus acted as a lookout for her.  Both suspects went to the checkout counter and Lee pretended as if she was going to pay for just one item. An employee blocked the exit of the store and demanded that Lee show him what she had taken. Neither Lee nor Burrus would cooperate. Burrus tried shoving her way past the employee, but was unsuccessful. Burrus then pulled out a small caliber revolver from the back of her waistband and pointed it at the back of the employee’s head. 

Burrus cocked back the hammer of the gun, and told the employee “let us go.” The employee was able to turn, tackle Burrus to the ground, and took the gun away from her. Lee tried kicking the employee while he was on the ground. Burrus demanded the gun back and told the employee that she will come back and kill him. The employee held onto the gun and both suspects left the store before police officers arrived. Investigators were able to identify both suspects from evidence recovered at the scene.

Wanted: Armed Robbery Series Suspects

Up to $1,000 Reward Offered

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station are asking for the public's help to identify and locate two unknown suspects wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies that happened between October – December 2017 in San Diego, Spring Valley, El Cajon and National City. The suspects in these robberies have been named “The Grinch Bandits.” 

The suspects entered each location in a similar manner.  Suspect #1 entered the targeted business, pointed a shotgun at the clerk and demanded cash while Suspect #2 took cash from the register.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male adult standing 6' tall and weighing about 175 pounds with an athletic build.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male adult standing about 5’9”.
