Suspect Wanted for Hate Crimes

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Eastern Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for threatening and assaulting a rabbi in the College area of San Diego.

On July 24, 2023, at 9:50 a.m., an unknown suspect was inside the 7-Eleven store located at 5141 College Avenue, in San Diego. While inside, the suspect confronted a 65-year-old male who was a rabbi and was wearing traditional Jewish faith clothing items including a yarmulke. The suspect asked the victim if he was Jewish. The victim said he was Jewish. The suspect then began to scream numerous antisemitic comments towards the victim and ripped off part of victim’s outer religious garment.

The suspect left the store on foot in an unknown direction.

Suspect’s Description:

The suspect is described as a White male, late 20’s to early 30’s, 5’8” tall, average build, long wavy hair, possibly dreadlocks.

Wanted Murder Suspect: David Gatheright

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating 42-year-old David Gatheright, who is wanted for murder. Investigators with the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified David Gatheright as the suspect who is responsible for the murder of 53-year-old Brian Noel, which occurred on June 2, 2023, in the 1600 block of Logan Avenue in San Diego. Suspect’s Description: David Gatheright is described as a Black male, 42-years-old, (DOB: 6/13/1981), 5’11” tall, 170 lbs., black hair, brown eyes. Gatheright has several tattoos on his neck and chest.

Unknown Suspect Wanted for Arson

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Metro Arson Strike Team (MAST) are asking assistance from the public to help identify and locate the suspect who is responsible for a fire which took place in a money exchange business at 100 W. San Ysidro Blvd. in San Diego. On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, an unidentified suspect was captured on video surveillance entering a business in the San Ysidro community of San Diego. After a failed robbery attempt of the business, the suspect started a fire inside the business and walked away.

Suspects Wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Central Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred in Balboa Park.

On June 21, 2023, at 4:53 p.m., a 24-year-old male was training a client’s dog with the client and a friend near the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center (1875 El Prado, San Diego) in Balboa Park. Approximately 100 to 200 skateboarders came into the park as they had been skateboarding in the area for “Skate Day”. One of the skateboarders told the victim and his friend to leave the park because it was the skateboarders’ day to be there. The victim and his friend refused. Several skateboarders began to intimidate the victim by skating close to him and the client’s dog. The victim tried to get away from the group but was followed by several different males. Two males in the skateboarding group struck the victim over his head with their skateboards causing the victim to lose consciousness.

The two suspects fled the area before police arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The victim suffered a laceration to the back of his head.

Suspects’ Descriptions:

Suspect # 1 is described as a White or Hispanic male, approximately 18-years-old, medium build, curly blonde and brown hair, wearing a black and grey “Baja” hooded sweater and cutoff blue jean shorts. He had a silver nose ring and a large black ink tattoo on his left hand (tattoo might not be permanent).

Suspect # 2 is described as a White male, approximately 18-years-old, medium build, curly blonde hair, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, green and black camouflage cargo style pants, light color beanie, and black and white shoes.

Two Year Anniversary of the Unsolved Murder of Luis Alberto Arroyo

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit continue to ask for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of 38-year-old Luis Alberto Arroyo.

On July 26, 2021, at 2:14 a.m., the San Diego Police Communications Center received a report of possible gunshots in the Emerald Hills area. As patrol officers began checking the area, a man (later identified as Luis Alberto Arroyo) was found in the parking lot of Emerald Hills Park with apparent gunshot wounds to his upper body. Officers began administering first aid and eventually performed CPR. San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel arrived on scene and transported Arroyo to a local hospital. Unfortunately, Arroyo did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Investigators from the San Diego Police Homicide Unit were called to the scene. Investigators are still trying to determine what led to the shooting and are still in the process of looking for witnesses and information regarding the shooting.

Suspects Wanted for Carjacking

Suspect #1

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s San Marcos Station are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for a carjacking that occurred in the unincorporated area of Escondido.

On June 12, 2023, at about 9:19 p.m., San Diego Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to the intersection of Old Highway 395 and Circle R Way to investigate a report of a carjacking. When deputies arrived, they learned an unknown male and female approached the victim who was parked in his vehicle. The male suspect had driven a car described as a black Honda hatchback and parked behind the victim's vehicle.

The male suspect approached the victim, pulled out a firearm and told the victim to give him his wallet and money. The victim told the suspect that he did not have any money and told him he could have his vehicle. The male suspect entered the victim's vehicle and drove away. The female suspect got into the male suspect's vehicle and drove away.

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic Male, in his 30's-40's, approximately 5'5" tall, heavy build, weighing about 200 lbs, with a full beard and curly hair. Additionally, he had unknown tattoos above his eyebrows and was seen wearing a white t-shirt.

Suspect #2 is described as a White Female, in her 30's-40's, wearing a grey t-shirt, and riding a purple and green Kent Bicycle.

Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit-and-Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department want your help in finding a driver wanted in connection with a hit-and-run in San Marcos.

On June 15, 2023 at about 5:20 a.m., deputies responded to a hit-and-run collision involving a motorcycle and a truck at the intersection of Grand Avenue and W. San Marcos Boulevard in the City of San Marcos.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim laying in the roadway after being thrown from his motorcycle. The motorcyclist was traveling westbound on W. San Marcos Boulevard when a pickup truck ran the red signal arrow and turned in front of motorcyclist. The driver of the truck fled the scene with no attempt to render aid to the motorcyclist.

The victim was transported to Palomar Medical Center with serious injuries. Surveillance footage from a nearby busines captured the pickup fleeing the scene.

Suspect Vehicle Information: Detectives are looking for a 1995-2000 Toyota Tacoma Pickup truck with an extended cab. It will have damage to the passenger side door as a result of being broadsided by the victim.

Suspects Wanted for Assault & Robbery

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Imperial Beach Substation are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and the suspects responsible for an assault and robbery in Lincoln Acres.

On May 11, 2023, at about 1:10 p.m., San Diego Sheriff’s Department Deputies responded to the 2500 block of Fenton Place in unincorporated National City to investigate a report of two victims that had been forcibly assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.

Deputies arrived on scene with National City Police Officers and learned two Hispanic male suspects armed with handguns, confronted the two victims in the front yard and forced them into the residence at gunpoint. Once inside, suspect #2 robbed victim #2 of his wallet containing $250 and his identification card. Victim #1 attempted to disarm suspect #1 and was shot once in the foot during the struggle. Video surveillance captured both suspects fleeing the scene in a newer model (2018 -2023) white Toyota Camry with tinted windows and aftermarket rims. A composite sketch of one of the suspects was completed.

Suspects’s Despcription:

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic Male, approximately 24-28-years-old, weighing 150-160 lbs, with black hair, wearing sunglasses, with a mustache/goatee and acne scars. Additionally, he was wearing a black baseball cap with white lettering, black shirt and blue jeans.

Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic Male, approximately 24-28-years-old, thin build. The victim overheard suspect #1 calling suspect #2 by “David.”

Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a juvenile pedestrian with severe injuries in the Lincoln Park area of San Diego.

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, at about 10:04 p.m., a 14-year-old male juvenile pedestrian was riding his skateboard south on 1200 S. 47th Street from Logan Avenue. He lost control on the hill and fell to the ground. While on the ground, the juvenile was hit by at least one vehicle leaving him with serious injuries. The vehicle(s) that hit the juvenile did not remain at the scene. He described the vehicle that hit him as a small white car.

According to one witness, two vehicles possibly hit the skateboard and pulled over to check for damage before leaving the scene. They didn’t appear to notice the juvenile in the dark. Investigators are asking the public to contact them if they can help with the investigation. Vehicle Description: The vehicle description is unknown but is possibly a small white coupe or sedan. It may have light damage to its right front corner.

Known Suspect Wanted For Attempted Murder

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Southeastern Division want your help in locating 45-year-old Darrick Anthony Coleman for an attempted homicide that occurred in the area of Oakpark of the City of San Diego.

On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, at about 10:09 a.m., the victim went to Tradewinds Liquor (3111 54th Street) to photograph the business for their college photography project. As the victim took photos of the business, the suspect approached the victim, pointed a handgun at the victim, and demanded the camera. The victim entered their vehicle and quickly sped away from the scene. The suspect fired one round at the victim as they sped away. The round struck the victim’s vehicle.

Through their investigation, investigators identified Darrick Anthony Coleman as the suspect. Coleman is wanted for attempted homicide, attempted robbery, and felon in possession of firearm. Coleman is believed to be associated to a local street gang and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Suspect's Description:

Darrick Anthony Coleman is a Black male, 5' 7" tall, weighs 218 lbs, has black hair, brown eyes, wears prescription glasses, he was wearing a black sweater with "WESTSIDE" and rappers faces on it at the time of the incident and bright colored tennis shoes. Coleman has prior convictions for vehicle theft, felony domestic violence and possessing a firearm as a felon.

Information Wanted For Murder Suspect At Large

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department Homicide Unit want your help in locating 34-year-old Daniel Ethridge who is wanted for a homicide that occurred in the City of Lemon Grove.

On Saturday March 18th, at approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies responded to a radio call of a shooting at the 2800 block of Lemon Grove Avenue. Deputies arrived in the area and located 39-year-old Gregory Moore, unconscious in a vehicle at the intersection of Lemon Grove Avenue and San Miguel Avenue.

Through their investigation, investigators have identified Daniel Ethridge as a suspect. Ethridge has an active arrest warrant for the homicide and is believed to be associated to a local street gang. Ethridge should be considered armed and dangerous.

Suspect’s Description:

Daniel Ethridge is a Black male, 34-years-old, 5’9” tall, weighs 165 lbs., has black hair, and brown eyes. Ethridge has prior convictions for assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

Who Killed Edwin Barrera & Gillian Aguilera

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the National City Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for the murders of 18-year-old Edwin Barrera and 16-year-old Gillian Aguilera.

On October 28, 2022, at about 11:35 p.m., the National City Police Department received numerous 911 calls regarding shots fired followed by two persons down in 1800 block of East 17th Street. Officers arrived on scene and performed life saving efforts on two victims who were struck by the gunfire. The victims were transported to local trauma centers by ambulance. Unfortunately, both succumbed to their injuries and died at the hospital.

Both victims, 18-year-old Edwin Barrera and 16-year-old Gillian Aguilera, had been attending a Halloween party at a residence before the incident. Detectives have been continuously investigating this case since it occurred and believe there are multiple additional witnesses that were at the scene and have not yet been identified or interviewed.

Suspects Wanted for Attempted Murder

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the National City Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and suspect that fled a shooting in National City.

On February 4, 2023, at about 10:05 p.m., National City Police Department Officers responded to the 2500 block of East Plaza Boulevard to investigate a report of two victims that had been shot.

Officers arrived on scene and located 20-year-old Michael Porter and 17-year-old Ismael "Davy" Astoraga suffering from life-threatening gun shot wounds to their heads. Video surveillance captured a gray sedan fleeing the area after the shooting. Witnesses were able to provide details of the suspected shooter and composite sketches of the suspect were completed.

Suspect’s Despcription: The suspect is described as a Hispanic or White male, approximately 18-years-old, with dark hair, 5’6” to 5’7” tall, and weighing approximately 135 pounds.

Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a pedestrian with serious injuries in the Rolando area of San Diego.

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at about 4:57 a.m., a 42-year-old male was lying in the eastbound traffic lanes in the 6300 block of El Cajon Blvd when he was struck by a black SUV.

The driver pulled over, got out of the SUV, and moved the pedestrian to the sidewalk. The driver returned to the SUV and fled the scene. The pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Vehicle Description:

The SUV was described as a black mid-size SUV, possibly a Cadillac. See pages 2 and 3 of this release for images of the SUV and the suspect.

Suspect Wanted for Felony Hit and Run

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a pedestrian with serious injuries in the Little Italy area of San Diego.

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, at about 6:17 a.m., a 32-year-old female was crossing Columbia Street at West Hawthorne Street in the crosswalk when she was struck by the unknown driver of a light-colored pickup truck. The pickup had turned onto southbound Columbia St from West Hawthorne St.

The driver pulled over in the 2000 block of Columbia St, got out of the pickup truck and assisted the pedestrian to an apartment complex. The driver returned to the pickup truck and fled the scene.

The pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Vehicle Description:

The pickup truck was described by a witness as a grey Nissan Frontier 4-door 4x4. Videos were obtained showing the pickup truck continuing southbound on Columbia St, turning westbound on W. Fir St and then southbound on Kettner Blvd. Images of the pickup truck can be found on pages 2 and 3 of this release.

Driver Description:

The driver was described as a 38 to 40-year-old Hispanic male.

Suspects Wanted for Felony Battery

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Eastern Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for punching a 21-year-old male multiple times outside of a taco shop in the College area of San Diego.

On March 19, 2023, at about 1:51 a.m., a male victim was outside of the Senor Pancho’s taco shop located at 5089 College Avenue, in San Diego.

For an unknown reason, two male suspects got into an argument with the victim. During the argument, both suspects used a closed fist and punched the victim in the face multiple times. The victim sustained a laceration and facial fracture to his lower right eye socket. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The suspects were last seen walking westbound on Montezuma Road.

Suspects’ Description: Suspect # 1 is described as a White male, 6’ tall, thin build, approximately 20-yearsold, clean shaven, black medium length hair, wearing a black and red flannel shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap turned backwards. Suspect # 2 is described as a White male, 5’8” tall, medium build, approximately 20- years-old, dirty blonde hair, wearing a black jacket and black pants.

Suspect Wanted for Shooting

San Diego County Crime Stoppers along with investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s San Marcos Station are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect(s) responsible for a shooting in the City of San Marcos.

On May 8, 2023, at about 7:46 p.m., deputies responded to the Mission Sports Park, located at 931 Bailey Court, following a report of someone discharging a firearm near the park. During the initial investigation, deputies did not locate any injured individuals or received any reports of victims struck by gunfire; however, gunfire entered an occupied baseball field and nearly struck children playing organized Little League baseball.

Video footage from one of the fields captured the gunfire and detectives are requesting any assistance from the community in locating any/additional witnesses, victims, or evidence regarding this shooting.

Suspect Wanted for Felony Battery

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Southeastern Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspect responsible for beating a 52-year-old male inside a gas station in the Lincoln Park area of San Diego.

On March 13, 2023, at 11:23 p.m., an adult male (victim) walked into the United Gas Station located at 235 S. 47th Street, in San Diego. The victim noticed a male lying on the floor and appeared to be unconscious. There was another male (witness) who was trying to wake the suspect up as he was on the floor. The victim was assisting the witness and asked if he should call for paramedics.

For an unknown reason, the suspect stood up and grabbed the victim. The suspect punched the victim in the head several times with a closed fist. The suspect then used several knee strikes to the victim’s upper torso. The victim was unable to defend himself and fell to the ground. While the victim was on the floor, the suspect punched and kicked the victim in the head. The suspect then walked out of the store with the witness. Investigators believe the witness and suspect know each other.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. The victim suffered a fractured orbital, facial fractures, broken left forearm and a concussion.

Suspects Wanted for Numerous Thefts

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the Santee Sheriff’s Station want your help in identifying and locating suspects involved in a series of thefts throughout the county. The latest occurred in the City of Santee.

Since October 2021, the below-mentioned individuals have been involved in numerous vehicle thefts throughout San Diego County. The suspects target vehicles where victims gathered for large events, such as a cemetery for a burial and community parks while families were attending youth sporting events. While the victims are away from their vehicles, the suspects break into the vehicles and steal valuables. The last incident occurred in February 2023 in the City of Santee.

Following the vehicle burglaries, the suspects use the victims’ stolen credit cards at local stores. In one such incident, the suspects purchased over $8,000 worth of unauthorized merchandise.

Suspects’ Description:

Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male, 40 to 50-years-old, 5’ 10” tall, heavy build, with a goatee, full sleeve tattoos, hand tattoos, and neck tattoos. On multiple occasions, he was observed wearing a black-and-white striped hooded sweatshirt, dark pants with black-and-white Adidas tennis shoes.

Suspect #2 is described as a Hispanic female, 30 to 40-years-old, 5’ 6” tall, heavy build, with long black hair.

Suspects’ Vehicle Description:

The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2011-2014 Chevrolet Silverado with an extended cab and a black bed cover.

Cynthia Amber Baker (31) is wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for failing to comply with the terms and conditions of her parole after walking away from a community correctional facility.  Baker is considered a parolee at large (NO BAIL).  Baker is on Parole for committing a burglary.  Baker has prior convictions for obstructing a police officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance, domestic violence, and assault with a deadly weapon.  Baker is transient is known to frequent the East County portion of San Diego, particularly the City of El Cajon.
