The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force that includes the San Diego Police Department and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the “Hipster Bandit.” The “Hipster Bandit” is believed to be responsible for three bank robberies dating back to Thursday, July 2, 2015. The latest robbery occurred on Monday, November 2, 2015, with the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, located inside of the Vons grocery store, 10675 Scripps Poway Parkway, San Diego, California.

FBI and San Diego Police Department Release Bank Surveillance Video of Mission Federal Credit Union Robber

In an effort to identify the individual responsible for robbing the Mission Federal Credit Union, located at 269 West Washington Street, San Diego, California, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, the FBI and San Diego Police Department (SDPD) are releasing bank surveillance video of the individual responsible for robbing the credit union. On Wednesday, September 15, 2015, at approximately 4:58 p.m. the Mission Federal Credit Union, located at 269 West Washington, San Diego, California, was robbed by an unknown male (hereinafter referred to as the robber). At the time of the robbery, the robber entered the bank and approached the victim teller and made a verbal demand for money. The robber repeated his demands to several other tellers. After receiving a sum of money from the victim teller the robber exited the bank and was last seen travelling southbound towards University Avenue. No injuries were reported.
